Spin Reels button light is very dim...
« on: April 03, 2021, 04:48:31 AM »
Hello everybody!
I have 2 S+ machines that I recently changed out the buttons and the sockets. All of the lights shine brightly, except for the Spin Reels button on both machines, which are so dim you can't see that it is on unless you cup your hand over them. I have tried making sure all the connections are tight, and have changed out the bulbs and sockets. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions on how to fix this?? Thank you in advance!
Bill

It sounds like you might be using the wrong voltage bulbs in the buttons. What bulb number are you using?

If all the other lamps are the same, you could try swapping the brighter lamp from the SPIN button, to a button next to it.

This will verify if the problem is the lamp, or the button holder.

Offhand, I don't remember right now exactly what lamp number is standard for an S+ button deck....sorry.

I can't find a listing for 249. Did you mean 259 by chance?

259 or 555 are acceptable. They're 6.3v. Per this old post, 555 has more than twice the candlepower, so you might want to consider trying one of those.
