Universal Reel/Video Games / Re: Replacement NIMH BATTERY?
« Last post by 61Wally on Today at 07:21:24 PM »
I removed the resistor and installed battery everything was working great. I Actually built up credits and played for hours. I unplugged the machine to move it and when I plugged it back in and turned it On, Only Fluorescent lights came on. It appears I’ve lost the lower Voltage(s), Nothing comes to life. No door buzzer, display. I don’t have any schematics for this machine, Any suggestions where to start my troubleshooting?

MEI Mars Bill Validators / Re: MEI Bill validator

To Stayouttadabunker, you are the greatest machine fixed, I replaced that card with one that showed almost no depression on those two and works great. Iam having another issue though when I run the machine on with the switch sometimes it doesn’t come on, I turn it off and on several times and it then comes on. It acts like it’s trying to come on sometimes with the lights flicker on the board.
I tried replacing the off/on switch with another from a known working machine with no charge. Pulled and reset the power supply. No change. Not sure what else to try.
Thanks again for all your help getting it to give credits when accepting bills, you’re the greatest.
Thanks
Todd

The cash box switch looks to be in good condition. I doubt anything is a issue here.

Do you have the manual that shows the dipswitch settings?

I have a few books and I will look into the dip switch settings. Which dip switch settings are you talking about the MPU or Bill Validator?

 :thank_you:

I believe there are 3 coils mounted on the drop down light board or the back of the cabinet.
Hopefully the labels are still attached.
If I remember correctly, one of the coils will impulse for every coin.
Causing the odds unit to advance.
These coils/switches can be manually operated for testing.

Also, check the actual step up unit that might be labeled odds unit.
Look for burnt coils, broken or detached wires, contacts out of adjustment, and missing springs.
This unit can also be manually operated. Check for smooth operation and a swift return.
