So there should be power to the coin comparator when the power supply is powered up. Check for voltage at the power supply plug CN-4 (see photo). The +32v DC is measured from the black wire (pin 10 ground) to the violet wire (pin 11 +32v). No voltage? Check the 3 amp fuse F6. There's voltage at the CN-4 plug wires? Then check the white plug just to the right side of the coin comparator for +32v, follow the plug-wire from the comparator red plug around the backside to the white plug, should be a violet and black wire. Let me know what you find.
Still need to know too if the door key lock is making or breaking the photo eye as mentioned earlier. Is there a lever on the key lock that makes or breaks the photo eye beam? Is the red LED going off-on? In your photo the LED is on.

Just an update on the slot machine, and specifically the coin system. When I purchased this train wreck, "supposedly" its on free play, no coins needed to play. I have no idea what it does since the 110v cord is shredded. What I determined is that it was set up on a Ike dollar coin. The coin assembly was obviously damaged, so I decided to start over with a sourced quarter block, I rebuild the acceptor to a quarter, sourced a quarter coin comparator, sourced a quarter hopper. Easy peasy.

Getting the garage cleaned up for the next phase of the machine.....
As the saying goes, you've come a long ways baby.

Was able to find the problem after checking all the connections. You were right! - it was the DC power supply had moved a little and wasn't making the connection. I pushed the board all the way back in and plugged the machine back in....I'm back in business.
Thanks for the help.

Today is the day for 7000 series issues, guess I should turn mine on to verify its working!
Can you elaborate on what process you used to clear. Did you use a lear chip or just flip switch 8? At what point did you remove the set chip if you used it.
What setup choices did you make? Maybe you can send a picture of the blue screen with the setup options.
BTW there is a game enable, disable section in the config section of the menus. One member found his games were disabled.

On to cleaning up the encoder. The encoder had a $1 set up, I changed it to 25¢. I don't know if this will work, but I will give it a shot.
You would normally have to: 1). Change the black plastic encoder coin guide to one that has the guide to force quarters to the left, so they fall between the infrared beams of the ABC optics. 2). Swap the coin head on the door to where the coin slot is smaller. 3). Install a larger diameter wheel shelf on the coin hopper plate where the quarter would sit higher up to be read by the hopper optics, and re-adjusting the wheel knife to sit on top of the shelf.
Yes, it was a $1 slot machine in a former life. It's been reincarnated to a quarter. I changed out the quarter encoder guide, however I don't know if the electronics are going to function. The quarter coin block is coming in the mail from Lisa a forum member. Alan from K-LAR is getting me a quarter coin comparator ready to go, as we speak. The quarter hopper is being sourced from Jim at Midway Slots, it should be ready to plug in when I receive it. And a partridge in a pear tree.

Long story short, new machine to me. Did a clear (many times) and I always get to the point where the machine says Game Disabled. I feel like I’m missing something simple.
I’ve tried several different jurisdictions, coin in, bill acceptor is bad, so set that up for none. Tried both SAS and none for primary host, all of the settings that are recommended from stuff I’ve found here. At a loss. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the help, Chris-socal. Honestly, I did not see where to put the terminal ID.... I guess I missed where that entry goes... I've tried a few options but will try CREDIT. Sorry, probably my fault as I switched both 7 and 8 when putting the new game on, (Turns out the damn game is a bad eprom, so it was a total waste.. lol)

Hi Guys, Actually, I used the video you refer'd in your reply, thanks! But the video says NO HOPPER so I did not think that addressed my issue. Nonetheless, I did set the residual credit as it suggested. Thanks for looking into it, I really do appreciate it!
