Dear Forum,

I know that this is the 100,000 request for multi denomination. I have also read a lot of instructions in the forum, FAQ and Howto. However, it doesn't work for me and I hope you can give me the decisive hint.

Here is my configuration: Cleopatra 5 reel, SB100334, SG000597, DSV00043 (504B with multimedia lite board II), VS011GX1.

I get the setup for multi denomination running and everything works on the touchpad. However, with the keychip in the key menu in 7.1.1.1 I can only select the accounting denomination with $0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.10; I don't have the further choice given in the PSR 597. This would not be a problem since $0.01 is the smallest unit for the accounting denomination. In 7.1.1.2 I can choose the coin denomination from $0.01 to 5,000 as specified in PSR 597. But then in 7.1.1.3 the player denomination is again limited to $0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.10 and not much more choice as stated in PSR 597 (it says: "When the accounting unit equals 0.01, the possible player-selectable denominations are 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.25, 0.50, 1, 2, 2.50, 5, 10, 20, or 25"). I have planned as sticker for the touchpad: 1 and 3 = 25ct, 2 = 50ct, 4 = 1$ . I made the game selection for the player denomination before the player denomination in 7.1.2.

What am I missing? I hope you can help me.

Not sure why the accounting doesn't allow for a higher denom. Myself I would do a ram clear.

7.1.1.4 may have to be done before 7.1.1.3.

I used my clear chip 224 and tried again, but there is no change in behaviour. Also swapping the steps in the key chip menu doesn't help or doesn't work.
Are there any other ideas that could help me? Or has anyone already had such a problem before and could chime in?

Your lowest player denom is 25c. Try setting the accounting denom to 25c rather than 1c. You will have to clear it again to change the accounting denom.

I tried this too.Clear chip, key chip. And: the accounting denomination stays $0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.10. I cannot choose 25ct. What's wrong with my settings? What to try next?

Do the top two lights come on and stay solid before powering off?

I cleared three times before I passed on (clear chip 224). I waited until the two amber lights on the MPU came up, waited some time and then turned the machine off. I repeated this 2 more times. Then SB chip, key chip (also waited till 2 amber lights came up), SB chip (and key chip menus). I hope this was the correct procedure and hope you can help me solving my problem.

The only thing I can think of is that early SB chip. 100334 works well for enhanced sound & I've been told some of the others do not. You might try another such as 101570 or 101571. If you do please confirm the results.

A big thank you for the further information. I now understand that it could be the rather early SB100334 - but it has the enhanced sound. I have only one other matching stepper base chip, SB100601. This SB chip has the problem that the enhanced sounds do not work.

So I want to keep the enhanced sounds and be able to set the multi denomination correctly. Hopefully this is not impossible. I did some research in the forum and found out a lot about the SB chips for my Cleopatra 5R 90C:
I read that SB101568 (45C) doesnâ€™t use enhanced sound. Could SB101570 and 571 have the same problem for 90C?

Also will not allow denomination above 10 cents.
It has to be the SG/SB combination that locks out other values.

For me the most important thing was to have both advanced sounds during normal play (Cleo talking etc.) and having advanced sounds during the bonus spins.
So to be honest I never checked denomination possibilities in other combinations unless it met the criteria above.
The only two combinations that have worked for me using DSV00043 are SG000597 and either SB100334 (90cr) or SB100104 (45cr).
What has NOT worked with SG000597 to get all of the sounds is SB100936, SB100931, SB100933, SB101571
If anyone has all advanced sounds and spin with another combination please let us know I would be happy to check the denomination issue with those.

I can report back what I found out untill now for Cleopatra 5R 90C:

SB101570: no enhanced sound (I didnâ€™t check the multi denomination)
SB101571: no enhanced sound (I didnâ€™t check the multi denomination)
SB100597: no enhanced sound, multi denom only 1-10c

I could not get SB 100931 to work: If I put the chip in the machine, immediately system error and alarm sound appear; the display shows call attendant and I canâ€™t get rid off this message. Could it be that the combination of SG597 and VS011GX1 causes problems only with SB100931? There is post #7 in this thread that says SB101931 will work. Is 101931 a typo (100931?) or is this possible?

SB101931 should be a typo error.

Those SB chips only go up to around SB101651 in my list.

Also, the weird thing I see is that SB10931 is for a game called Leopard Claw?

I don't have these games but I wonder if the Leopard Claw is a clone of Cleo?
