Triple Stars Backlit reels

Just got a Trip Stars 3coin single line 3 reel running for a friend
Has Back lit reels but they are not working was Curious to know if its Likely a chip
issue more than other problems
SG chip was SG000312 but changed to SG000363 for Selecting Wamm Issues
SB chip is SB100009 wondering if that may be the wrong chip for Back lit
go into reel test and nothing happens

also Tried the reel test on my cleopatra and nothing happened right away but it did go into an  operations Fault which was not a pleasant surprise
The Cleopatra has three reel lites that do come on but no rhyme or reason to them when the bonus symbols come up which I have replaced bulbs to no avail
I also have a super stars that I believe is working properly  so I do have boards that I could play with

Swap the backlight controller from the known good machine into the problem machine without changing any settings.

Do not plug or unplug ANYTHING with the power on at all.

If you can get into the reel test with the problem Triple Stars with the good controller, you know the problem controller is shot.

Make sure ALL of your lamps are good.
