7 segment display mis match

Igt S2000. It had an enhanced board originally. I changed it to 502 because I had one. Have been playing it with SG363's and 10X Sb. Decided to make it a vision, because that's what I do. Here's the problem. It has a 7 segment display. Trying to use vision software, SG248 or 380 it tries to boot. Right at the end gives 7 segment display mis-match. The display is totally different on this machine. The 552 etc. have a ribbon cable. This one does not and has small black molex connectors. Do I need to change the display and door wiring to the MB?

I believe that vision machines must use a 5-5-2 led display. You must change the LED display to a 5-5-2.
Even with the adapter from the black molex to white you will still get the mismatch unless you change to a 5-5-2 .
It is not the VFD display that is the issue it's the one on the other side next to the VFD

Chris pointed out that in key chip 2 there is a setting for 552 or 663. Will check Sunday

SG248 & 380 are only compatible with 5-5-2.
Read the PSRs.

7.2.7
7-Segment Display Type
Although this option appears, it has no affect. The only available 7-segment display for this version is 5-5-2, which refers to the number of digits in the Winner Paid, Credits, and Credits Played windows, respectively.

I wonder what sg they used in these then they obviously support a 6-6-3 or is that a 5-5-2 also ?

Chris, that is a 5-5-2. The incandescent denom light is a dead giveaway.

Jim, yes you will have to change the button panel harness to match the display.

I don't have a PSR for SG341 or SG380. They replaced sg248 and sg363

Do either of those support the 6-6-3 ?

PSRs are available in the NLG file system. SG000363 are NOT Vision chips.
