Door close mb problem
« on: February 06, 2016, 08:50:02 AM »
Getting a door close mb error on my vision Ms. Little Green Men. I have bypassed the optics on the door and the belly door and bv wires are twisted together.

Board has good battery voltage and no varta battery.

This is a replacement board, just installed.

It's not a constant problem. Comes and goes, even when not playing or being touched.

Any thoughts, I've searched and done everything that's been suggested.

Thanks,

Chuck

Anybody have any ideas? I'm trying to get it going for my Superbowl party tomorrow.

I have went so far as to bypass the cherry switch and hard wire the door red/white wire to the cabinet green wire. It'll work for a few minutes, then throw the error off and on for 20 minutes, then work for 5, then not work for an hour.

Thanks,

Chuck

I would try cleaning the area where the green battery was with a stiff brush, brass or steel, but be careful. And double check your bypass wiring connections, maybe something there isn't making good contact.

On the other hand, who the hell plays slots when the Super Bowl is on? There's a law against that! LOL, just kidding:)

Super Bowl !!
:th_Smiley-bbq: I'm in Southern California... supposed to be 82 here tomorrow! Rough winter...

Maybe try re-seating the new board?
It might not be plugged in fully or maybe there's some contact issues there.

I'll try that.

Haha, I have a game room with slots, arcade games and such, with a tv. Boys in here, girls in the kitchen.

Ok, here's my diagram. Am I missing something?

Should I unplug any connectors?

Should the jumper be on the wire going to the optics as opposed to coming out of the board?

I get 5 volts at my splice, using a ground screw for my negative.

If I unplug the connector behind reel number 1, the vision screen errors change from main door open and bill door open to just main door open.

Belly and bv are twisted together by the previous owner.

Thanks,

Chuck

According to the bible the green wire goes to one normally open spade on the cherry switch and the red/white wire goes to the other. Hook it up this way with spade female connectors and see what you get. And clean the area of the board where the varta battery used to be. Here's the original post with directions
