Theme Hardware key check failed

Hello!


I'm trying to load Bier Haus on my WMS BB2 machine and keep getting the error "Theme hardware check failed".  The game came from a friend who had it successfully loaded on his machine.  The hardware dongle is plugged in, I've tried running the clear on the machine multiple times and also switched the USB slot the dongle is plugged in to, same result.


My OS version is H13.37


Do I have a bad dongle?

Where are you plugging the dongle?  Maybe you have a bad USB port?  If it ran on your friend's machine, the dongle is probably ok.  It is rare for the dongle to go bad (although it does happen, but very rare).

Thank you for the suggestion.  I've tried other USB ports and gotten the same error, I'm just using the ports on the top of the CPU case.  I have another dongle game (Moolah) that works fine.  I should also note the red light on the dongle is "on" when it is plugged in.

Interesting.
I am having the same issue with my Great Tutankhamun game. I came by to see if anybody else had seen this issue. I'll check my dongle and see if it's working.

I believe REASON =1 on the screen means a bad dongle.   Have you tried using a dongle adapter that plugs inside the CPU above the hard drive?

It helps if you use the correct dongle also. I was trying to use my poker dongle. :banghead:
