Help identifying Bally Slot Machine

I recently picked up a Bally 3 reel slot machine, but am unsure as to the model #.  Does the 816 written in marker indicate it's a model 816?
It does look like some 816 images I found online, but this one has a "hold" capability.  I'd love to find a manual for this.

Yes it’s a model 816.. Here what my book says about it.. Too bad that the circus circus glass got broken.

Yeah, bummer about the glass.  Actually the glass is intact but the graphics peeled away from the glass.  Does anyone have a source for similar graphics that maybe could be printed on vellum or some kind of translite material?

Finding the correct glass is like looking for a needle in a hay stack!  You won’t find a Game specific manual. I have seen a book somewhere that had the hold buttons in it.

Try eBay for the glass. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a piece between $35 and $75.
Picked up a a really nice top odds glass that someone had framed for less than $30 including shipping.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for some original glass.  In cases like this, is there a source for some kind of generic glass artwork that people use?


Regarding the manual, I see some reprint manuals on ebay that cover the 816 model, are there any other better places that I should be looking?

If you look at the Bally manual for the E M machine you will find it covers the hold and draw it is really the only manual you need to fix any of these machines all the rest of the manuals out there do not teach you what it does it can be downloaded for free on many places on the internet including on my Facebook page


And if you have patience you will find the original glass Ford in good shape it might take you a year but you will find it they made a lot of those machines

I may have Dave I have not opened up 20 boxes of glass yet one day I will figure out where to put them and open them maybe I will find all the glass I need to build a couple of machines here
