Bench testing WMS OLED Buttons

I have around 20 OLED Decks, non Splash, that I would like to bench test to see what works and what doesn't so I can later assemble a few good ones from all of the bad ones.

I've seen/heard techs discussing the WMS USB Test COMM Tool Setup Software, but I have no idea how to locate it for download or if I'm even permitted to do so.

I just thought the idea of bench testing panels with a power supply and a laptop would be much easier and faster than putting each one into a machine and going that route.

Any inputs or available links to the software or any tips on just powering up the panels and buttons for a quick check would be greatly appreciated.

Was hoping that I could test panels with it. Looking for a way to power up the panels to test button brightness and functions with having to install into a cabinet and go through the boot process for each panel.


I have a DC power supply on my bench and a laptop for the USB connection. Need to make a few good decks out of several by swapping buttons around and so forth.



I have the OS cards that update the firmware in the machine.

That's a great explanation, and I appreciate your help with typing all of that out.


I was always under the impression that it wasn't a good idea to hot swap anything, so that's why I was looking for some way to bench test these decks.


If the software won't do what I need it to do, then there's no reason for having it. Thanks for the clarification.


I guess one day when I get some extra time, I'll boot up a machine and just keep swapping decks out one at a time by following your instructions and go from there.

I'm curious if there are multiple versions of the software out there.  Found an image of the tool, maybe a more recent version? Looks like it could be used to bench test a deck.  Anyone have additional information?
