BB1 Top Monitor

Hello
      I'm having some issues with my top monitor on the BB1 Hitchcock Theater Top Monitor.   Top monitor was blank this morning after I got up.  Bottom monitor working and plays.  I checked all cables, reinstalled the top game card and even installed an extra game card I had for the top box with no luck.   I shut off the machine and rebooted but the top box was blank while the bottom monitor was loading There was no information going to the top monitor.  I then shut down did a Ram Clear and then rebooted with the games installed. The bottom monitor was loading but the top wasn't.  It has been working fine for the last couple years.   Thank You

If the game is playing, but you don't have an image on top, means the tsetse is working correctly, but your top monitor is not.  I bet you probably need to replace inverter or the backllight bulbs are blown.  You will probably need to change the display inside the top box.  If you disconnect the vga cable on the top box, do you get a no signal on the top monitor?  If you don't, your monitor is bad.

The green light on the monitor means it is received a good and compatible sync signal from the tsetse.  If you have no image, it's either the inverter, or the ccfl lights are blown.  If you have never repaired an LCD monitor before, you are better off just getting a known working one.  Replacing the inverter is not that difficult, but if you have to replace the ccfl's then the difficulty level is a lot higher.  You could try and buy an inverter for it.  You will have to take the monitor apart, take a picture of the inverter and ask to see if someone has one that is compatible for you to buy.

Yeah I can do that  do I just lift it out of the holder with Box and fan attached.   And can you provide me a source where I may obtain one.      I disconnected the VGA cable and it was blank no images or messages. Thanks

This is  for a BB1 top box not a bb2, so it's a narrow 4:3 aspect ratio monitor.
