WMS 550 bill validator info needed

Trying to find what the correct software would be needed to get a WBA 10/11 validator to work in a Williams 550.
I found 10/11 setup with W(USA) ID023 software installed but it only takes the bill in then rejects it.
Does the bill validator need a side board to work?
Whats the secret to getting one to work?

Alan,  I know the Bally 5500 needs a side card, don't remember if the 550 does?  you need 044 or 044P ID0 for those older games.

I believe Williams and Bally used the same IDO.

WMS 550 is IDO 03.  They had a ttl to rs-232 converter board behind the validator cage, so they didn't need the side mounted rs-232 board.

the latest you have for a WBA11.  You cannot use WBA13 eproms on a WBA11.
