Setting up TITO@HOME on a working Bally S6000
« on: November 10, 2023, 01:31:31 PM »
Hi all!!!

Since I have a working machine, do I have to do a clear to get into the settings menu on this machine?

I used this video for the initial setup before TITO@HOME board was purchased, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLbiDhOOriY but now I need to change more settings for TITO. I do have the additional TITO settings printed out.

The current settings are default except for these....

47   0000  Attract feature (off)
56   0000  Credit lockup upon collect
51   9999  Max credit
58   9999  Win lockup
73   0000  Voucher validation    (looks like this one will need to be changed to 0003)
61   0002  Payout printer only   (I believe this one will need to be changed also)?   I think he said this is the hand pay setting.
81   0000  No coin acceptor
68   0002  Prosound

The machine works fine, but cash out goes to hand pay. That definitely wont' work with TITO.

Thanks, Mark

What year are the mains U28 and U43? They need to be 2005 and newer for TITO

I have no idea what year they are, the ID tag says that the machine was manufactured on 07-05. They have handwritten stickers on them... U43 U28

I assume they aren't the original mains.

If you have all these option numbers for settings,  then the chips are correct.

Yes, I have the correct setting numbers available. My mains appear to be 2005 or newer.

I'm somewhat confused with incorporating my currently working settings (1st post) with the required TITO settings. The only obvious conflict that I see is #73... That is the only setting number that is on both lists, it will need to be set to 0003

Also, I don't see a printer setting on the TITO settings, and it obviously needs to be on to print the vouchers.

My machine is a basic 25 cent coinless setup with a BV, and printer. Does anyone have a complete list of the additional settings needed for this setup? I have the list of required TITO settings mentioned in the 3rd post.

Are you sure the printer is working?

This machine was acquired with a dead battery in non-working condition. I replaced the battery and programmed the slot with the suggested settings from the video/list in my first post. It always goes to Hand Pay, so I have never seen the printer working.

Setting #61 is currently set to 0002 (printer only) and I assume should remain this way?

For some reason I thought #61 controlled the Hand Pay. Looking thru the manual it appears that setting #56 (currently set at 0000) is actually what forces my machine into Hand Pay? I assume that #56 should be set to match #67 (maximum voucher pay), and the printer should work?

Correction to post #5

It appears that I'm missing a few setting numbers for the TITO setup....

#29
#17
#19HI
#19LO
#92   I only have 0000 and 0001 available, it needs to be set at 0003

Will these options be available with 2005 and newer mains?

Searching for new mains online I only find two options, leave-in mains, and mains with printer support. There is no mention of the year. (2005 or newer)

Thanks for the offer, I ordered some that I was told will work with TITO. They were advertised as "Bally S6000 U28 and U43 Mains w/Printer support"

I believe those will be 2003 version, which the printer will work but they won't have the options to use TITO.

The ones I currently have that are obviously older have handwritten stickers on them (U28 U43)

Are you talking about numbers under the stickers?

I believe those will be 2003 version, which the printer will work but they won't have the options to use TITO.

We'll see when they get here, I specifically asked if they were the 2005 or newer version because I wanted to use them with a TITO@HOME system.

I've printed a combined list of settings for a coinless setup (in order) that I'll post after verification that it works. Hopefully it can help someone else in the future.

My current mains I believe start with 27 on the setup menu.

The setup menu that I printed from the manual starts with 09 and has all the options listed/needed for TITO.... I assume this is the newer version???

the 11d menu starts at option 27, if you printed one that started at 09, then you missed some. option 27 then 26 then 09...

My mistake,  :duh: 27 and 26 are at the bottom of the first column in the manual.

There was an old list of options (PDF) that I printed from a past thread that didn't have all the TITO options. Were there two different manuals.... pre and post 2005 ?
