Bally E2000 RAM Clear
« on: December 13, 2023, 05:08:23 PM »
I decided to dust off my Bally E2000 Progressive slot.
I also need to dust off my brain, it's been 10 years or
so since I've worked on these.

The battery needed to be replaced so I did.  This is a
picky machine and if not programmed correctly it will
not run.

I programmed the following values;

2801 = 5000,000.00
2901 =       2,000.00
3001 =       2,000.00
3101 =       4,500.00

(values from a post on the old forum)
If not correct, please advise...

The slot will coin up and I could get a few pulls
then it got intermittent on me.  Now when I coin it
up and pull, it tilts with no code.

Before I chase my tail, I'd like to do a RAM clear.  These
Progressive units are a different breed and I suspect
maybe some corruption in the memory (5101's) may be
an issue.

I have a zero RAM chip I most likely purchased from
FoxSlots back in the day, but I do not have the instructions.

What boot location (M1,2,3 or P1,2) ?

What should I expect ? (changes in LED / Progressive display)

Todd

Sorry I can't help you. I only just picked up a free Bally 2000 progressive a few weeks back from someone giving it away. No prior knowledge or experience and the progressive stuff looks to have been disabled/unplugged and covered with a cheap paper sign?? Not sure how unplugging progressive features even works.

Would you mind posting a few pics of your Bally or you could PM them to me? I'm interested to see if yours is similar to mine.

Best of luck.

I don't have a M7 only M1,2,3 or P1,2

I think M7 is a E1000 PCB
