New Game Maker Owner Settings Questions Hopper
« on: March 24, 2015, 06:16:19 AM »
Hello,
I just received my first machine Sunday a Game Maker 7217 with v7200 board with 23 MAINS.  So far things are good and I am just going through the machine getting familiar with it and the settings before I begin to change things.  The posts here and the old forum have helped a lot with my documentation of current setup.  THANK YOU.

The machine has only a bill acceptor with no hopper or ticket printer, all DIP switches set to OFF position with these settings:
Coin Acceptor Coin acceptor and COD board
Bill Acceptor: JCM WBA
Hopper Type: COIN

Q1: What would turning on DIPSW1-5 Printer/Hopper Override do? Does it mean override the printer/hopper settings or override the settings because there is a hopper or printer?

Q2: Any idea why hopper would be set to coin when there is no hopper?
I would think in my case hopper should be none versus coin.

Thank you for your time and replies.
Randy

Congrats and welcome to NLG!

I don't know on Q1, as I do not recall messing with the dips for hopper settings. I havent looked at a GameMaker menu in over a year, but just select the equipment as the machine is equipped. For Q2, if the machine does not accept coins, then set Coin Acceptor to None (if that's a option) and hopper to None. Setting the Coin Accept to None may not be an option, seems like that was brought up in the last couple months, but I don't know for sure.

Couldn't that be because the machine had a hopper at one time and it was removed before you got it?
