I'm so sorry, I'm getting my Ceronix conversations mixed, this is a PE, not a Fortune. You do need to verify the wires from monitor to back board but also trace them on the back board from source to pin out to the board. Or at least look for something that looks problematic (broken traces). Is this a PE or a PE Plus, I thought PE had black cable connectors that plugged directly into the board. This has back-board connectors.

One thought, I haven't looked at a PE board closely but any chance it has a transistor or color pot for each color?  I can't see the picture clear enough. If there are 3 transistors next to each other on the board that's a good place to start. Same deal, you don't want any shorts. In your situation one of them would test like a diode (good), two would be different (shorted or open).

EDIT: Looks like you have a PE+ Super Board. Take a look in the NLG File system, there is a manual that has a circuit diagram. I highly suspect there is a color controller section on the board. If you can't find a blatantly obvious problem you might need to send the board into K-Lar.

Chris

No problem Chris. You're very active on this board so i can only imagine trying to keep all the conversations strait!

Update on the machin: She's up and running!!! :applause:

Turns out there is a repair shop only 10 miles from me. The tech hooked up my board and 1 or more of the 7 chips in the set were bad. He did a chip swap, cleared the board and its working great!

Thanks for all the help on this issue Chris!

Cheers,
Chris

Why do you have the base Denom .05?

I've never did this.  I was told it's always .01 and you set up the (Nickle) in the denom config.  You have multi denom enabled.  Change that base denom to .01

Still working on this one.

Turns out both CPUs were bad, showing no video.

So, I'm on the 3rd one now and trying to configure a game.

I've run the Clear Card, gotten to the Set-Up Menu, configured Devices and now I'm stuck in Credit Set Up.  Whenever I go into Denon Formatting where the Game should be listed to set the Paytables, It's not there. All I see is an Error stating No Game Configured. I am completely missing the little red box that would say The Love Boat.

Can't exactly figure out what the hang up is. It must be something on my previous page when setting the Limits and Denom, but I don't know what works and what doesn't.

So, Thats where I'm at with this....

WMS Williams Video / BB1 Touchscreen Inop
« Last post by Ash100 on Today at 10:52:28 AM »
Hello,

I have a customer (long distance) that I am helping out. Her machine was down and needed to be Cleared and Set Up, so I mailed her a Clear Card.

Once we Cleared the machine and brought up the Set Up Menu to configure everything, she noticed that her Touchscreen wasn't responding at all. But there are no Touchscreen Errors shown on the screen with the current machine status.

There is no separate harness that plugs into the lower LCD that I can see to control the Touch functions. I even looked at my own BB1 and see no additional wiring to the LCD.

So, my question is this.... where does the Touch Signal originate and where does it go?" Is it something on the Backplane? Or inside the CPU?

I'm assuming that the Touch wiring is part of the Power Harness to the LCD. But I really don't know. Or is it embedded into the VGA Cable?

I'd like to get her machine going, but I really don't know where to start.

Thanks,

Curtis ash100

This came from a Bally gamemaker.

Let me know if you have a working extra.

Thanks!

IGT PE and PE Plus Poker Games / Re: PE+ Issues

I posted a response on the first topic where Badbaud jumped in. Jumper E14/E15 IF it is chip volume related. It's covered in the manual in the file system. If it is a CAPX mismatch he will need a different eprom.
Feel free to delete this if you want to consolidate subjects but it seems worthwhile to have the jumper numbers called out in this conversation.

Looks like there are two topics for this same issue. I looked at the manual in the file system and this is specifically covered in the instructions. Not sure if my attachments will be legible but it's covered in the manual if you cannot read it here. Looks like jumper E14/E15....IF the issue is IC volume related. You can look at the volume printed on the chip and see if it matches the jumper setting. Based on the other feedback from Jay and Badbaud this is likely a mismatch of CAPX.

Aristocrat Video Gaming Machines / Re: Mk6 spin button died
« Last post by Don Indallas on Today at 09:26:47 AM »
I found it is not the spin button or the wiring.  It is on the I/O board.  There are two transistors that allow the function of that button and one more for the lifgt. I don't know which two are for the function of that button.  Does anybody have any information on which transistors are associated with which button?
