IGT Players Edge Plus not working

My IGT Players Edge Plus poker machine has stopped working.
I have a horizontal white line on the monitor screen and no game function. Coins drop through and buttons are not lit.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem? It it a monitor problem, or does it also involve a board problem?

If it was just a monitor problem, the machine should still play.
Did this all happen at once? Did you do anything with the machine previously?
Can you post a picture of the inside of the machine (off) , and one of the outside, powered up please.

Thank you, for your reply.
The machine had been working fine,and then the monitor was just black, but the game still played. Then, the next time that it was powered up, there was just a white horizontal line across the center of the monitor screen, and no game action nor lighted buttons. Now, when I powered it up, there were a multitude of white lines on three quarters of the monitor screen and still no game action or button lights.

Looks like the vertical driver and/or it's related capacitor has failed.

Not being a technician, I don't have a clue what that is, or where to look for it. But, thank you for the info.
Would what you have mentioned, also cause the game not to function?

You won't know until the monitor is fixed or replaced so you can see and read the condition.

Thank you, for the explanation. At least now I know that the place to look for the above mentioned problem solution is in fact somewhere in the monitor, not the board.

I would start with the component mounted on the heatsink in the middle of the board and the capacitor right in front of it.
Usually 220 uF or 470 uF at 35 Volts.
Worst case send the monitor to my shop for a complete cap job and have the guns on the tube rejuvinated.

Alan: Does it sound like he's got two separate issues going on? Def the monitor but maybe something with the MPU?

ucanwin: have you inspected all the wiring/connectors inside that you can get too? I'd like to see if the machine will function even with the monitor issues.
