Went to the Riviera sale today. For the first four days, today was day three, it costs $10 a head just to get in. Also a 10% buyers premium and 8% sales tax!
Not much in the way of slot stuff. Lots of stands and chairs, thats's about it. Did check out a few back rooms and found two progressive signs for video poker. About 6' long each and they had Mikhon meters in them. Opened one up to see how much Mikhon stuff they had. Just meters and power supply, so no boards. And no supremes laying around either.
All chairs were $75, a bit steep if you ask me. Except for the one Wheel Of Fortune chair I found. In excellent condition with no wear at all! Can't understand why it was still there. Thinking they just brought it out of hiding from somewhere. No other chairs were embroidered, all plane.
So I bought the WOF chair for $75 and a metal duplex slot stand for $50. Most wooden slot stands had edge damage.
Asked a fellow running the show if they had any slot glass, etc. His answer was, Oh, they'll be pulling more stuff out of storage rooms each day." Well, I don't have the time to check each day! Wish I had scoped out the slot tech,s workshop location when the casino was open!
