bally 2000 credit meter

Hello all,


Looking for help with a bally 2000 with the credit meter in the lower right hand corner of the play field glass. I just got the machine so im still learning but I've gone through it mechanically and electrically and everything seems to be working correctly with the exception of being able to cash out the accumulated credit meter or reset it. You can add 3 coins and it will play or you can use bet max and it will play and debit the credit meter. The only way I've found to add to it is after the 3rd coin insert another and it will increment up by one after the handle is pulled and the reels stop. I've tried the cash out button and all i get is the light illuminating and the music. i can reset it with the attendant key but the credits never go away. I've been through i think every e2000 post I could find but nothing about this particular problem. I'm thinking I'm missing something simple but for the life of me cannot figure it out.

Your machine is not an E2000. Those didn't have Cash Out or Credit buttons.

I think there was one or two machines that did have a credit feature. I worked on one once. Please post pictures of your machine.

check behind the top glass- there are boards there for the credit meter and function - the ribbon cable on the right side of your io board goes to the credit board

yes - the board closest to you is the credit board - the one on the back wall is the sound board - i would reseat ALL the ribbon cables starting at the IO board - make sure you do not bend/break any of the pins.

Ok I’ll give that a try! Thanks. I’m going to guess the key switch on the top portion of the cabinet is maybe the reset? Is there a print of the board anywhere that anyone may know of?

Well I think I may have this figured out. When I first purchased the machine the previous owner drilled out the front door lock so it remained open but closed enough to function. I purchased a new door lock and reset lock and installed them. After reading GOS
