Hello

before i will ask my question, i will introduce myself
i am a german pinball collector, normally with no problems repairing pinball circuit boards . ( i prefer the Bally EE or williams WPC Systems )
I personally only own an poker machine , but offered help to a friend of mine, who has bought a bally 5500 plus slot machine with battery corrosion damage .
This Machine does not always start and has problems with the reels.

So , before looking further we thougt it woukld be wise to first remove the battery corrosion.

Now , i run into the problem that the printing on the CR2 diode is not readable,
the only letters i can read are "1N" , the rest is gone .

So please , can anyone tell me the correct value / part number of the CR2 Diode ?
( The one beneath R10 near the battery )

Board number is AS-3356-6

Thank you

Andreas

If I remember right that is a 1N4148 but just about any general purpose diode should work (can use one rated at 100v piv). I looked for the schematic but only found newer versions of the Bally 5500 AS-3356 mpu board. If you can say what other parts CR2 is connected to that will help to figure it out, the newer mpu boards probably have a similar circuit but may use different designators.
