Aristocrat machine questions?
« on: January 24, 2019, 07:48:11 PM »
Wife likes her Aristocrat games. Pompeii,Whales of Cash, Sun and Moon, etc. Looking at buying an MK6 or Veridian. How easy is it to switch out games on these? I have a BB1 and switch out all the time but know nothing about Aristocrat. Who is a good source of gaming software? Veridian would give more gaming options that we play at the casino.
I don't see as much software out there as WMS or IGT. Thanks for any responses.

The Mk6 is hard to switch games because you need to know what game type the software is (Reel power,Power pay, ect)The correct number of lines and bet.Variation number. If any of these are wrong you cant clear the ram.

On the Viridian (gen7) the game change is MUCH easier on the NON LEGACY software. And its just one cf and simm card.
The disadvantage, the software is protected with the simm card so you cant copy it and its more expensive.

The advantage to the mk6 is its eprom based so software can be copied and its cheaper to get.The machine itself is much cheaper also.If the mk6 is capable of being a dual monitor machine then you can buy a gen7 conversion kit which is much cheaper the buying a oem viridian machine.Ive done a number of conversions and they work well. You can even play some of the newer widescreen games.

Hope this helps
I attached a picture of a mk6 converted into a mk7 (Viridian)

If you get spare MK6 MPU boards - after you set up
the game on the spare board, all you'll have
to do to change games is change the board
and reset the CRC(?) chip.

The par sheets do make it much easier.

Is there a way I can get a Copy of your MK6 Par sheets?
I have a large collection of software and the Par info would make set up a lot faster.

I have a MK5 series 1 Queen of the Nile, is there anyway to bypass the meter ?
Put NSW and board in which cleared the FSD play disabled. But not I have ‘meter disconnected’ ‘meter cage door open ’. How can I bypass these so I don’t have to try and locate a meter. Still learning how to work this page so could someone lease send me a message if they can how to bypass handy with wires so as long as I have good instructions i should be right.

Thanks heaps xxx
