Lighted door bezel
« on: July 03, 2014, 05:21:07 PM »
I have an s+ project machine. It has a WBA bill acceptor. I have a lighted door bezel that is not big enough to accept the duck bill from the WBA. Were there different sized lighted bezels for different acceptors?  :Scratch-Head:

I had to install the bezel on the door.
Here's a pic of the door and bezel I have.

Naw, a S2000 would be rounded off edges....like this...are you sure you have the 2 bottom clips in? Put the clips in first, then hinge it up and put in the screws.

I have the same set up as you chuck300x11 on my S+. The duck bill is to wide to fit the face plate opening.

On mine the two screws are loose so the door will close. But it looks like you could  grind the back side vertical edges down on the back of the face plate, if you can't find the right kind. Not sure they make one for an S+ and WBA.

Yep, I wish we could make a UBA bezel work on an WBA! I've got a jillion UBA bezels and running out of WBA bezels!

You are correct Ron. I had no trouble installing the bezel but I couldn't shut the door once it was installed. The duckbill is 3 and 3/8 inches wide and the bezel is only 3 and 1/4 inches wide. Is there another bezel that would be big enough even if it wasn't lighted or if I cut the left and right sides off the bezel where the duckbill enters that might work?

The WBA/UBA Duck bills are trimmed on the right end only but its not cut off flush but about 1/16" to 1/8" is left on the right end.

That is not a S+ but a S2000 but the BV Bezels are about the same size just one is flat (S+) and one is curved (S2000)

Chuck,
I was able to confirm the problem. You have a door bezel for the DBV and a WBA duckbill and bill validator. You will need to buy a WBA door bezel for a S+
As noted, a S2000 will not work since it's curved.
