Igt s+ not coming on only has display lights

I picked up this machine know at this time it did not work but had worked. I have changed the mpu battery. I get no numbers or codes on display. Fuses are good.  Power supply unit?

Make sure mpu is seated correctly.  Also check the harness coming from power source to motherboard(backplane) for burnt pins at motherboard. (unplug at motherboard and turn around and look at back of molex for common burnt spot)

I have inspected the connector at the board and at the power supply unit all good. I have pulled board out and reinstalled it numerous times with no change. How would I go about testing for power on six pin connector. With a volt meter testing wires ?

Display lights, meaning digital led's? Or only the flour. cabinet lights? With machine on can you easily turn the reels by hand?

Only the cabinet lights no red led lights. The reels spin the same with power on or off unplugged.

Check the ss and sp chips on mpu.  Look for bent pins or chip off one row or on backwards.

You checked the power cable from power supply. It normally gets a burnt spot at a green ground . You could still have a bad cable without a burn. Try sliding the connector up and down a few times

I have unplugged both ends of the cables and moved them around to clean off any corrosion and plugged back in.

It's a classic symptom of that harness Jim suggested. Did you look really good at both sides? It gets hot & melts away the plastic inside the connector making the connection loose over time. See pics.

I tried to load pics but won’t load says file is to big. But the connectors are good no brown spots from heat on both ends.
