Payout percentage change

I know this has been discussed many times before, but evidently I'm a slow learner.   I have a Triple Diamind 2 coin $1 machine that I would like to change the payout percentage on.  I have a clear chip marked IVC 00224 and  key chip marked Key00045.  I understand that if I replace one game chip with the key chip, work some magic, shuffle through menu options 7. . I can change the payout percent and otherwise leave the machine the same.  Is this key chip appropriate for this?

Yes the key 45 is the correct chip to use.
Make sure there are no credits on the machine before you try to key it.
I believe it's screen 7.1.2 if my memory serves me right.

Thanks for the info on the key chip.  I think I can find which game chip to swap for the key chip.  Thanks again for the info.

There's only 1 40 pin chip. That's the base chip. Zero credits. Install key chip. Turn it on. Wait for 2 amber lights on the MPU. Turn it off. Replace base chip. Turn it on again. Don't close the door. Key chip menu appears on the VFD. Press Spin reels (enter) twice. Press Cash Out to go down from accounting to game selection. Press enter (maybe twice), use the Cash Out and or Service/Change button to select the desired %. Close the door to exit the menu.
