Double Diamond Deluxe WBA was working now just cycles over & over?

Bill acceptor was working last night just fine, moved it to my daughter's house now it won't cycle to get the insert bill light to come on & won't take bills now. I've reconfigured it & it shows bill acceptor installed but still not working, any ideas?

Did you move just the BA or the entire machine?
That's what we need to know to help you.
What machine platform? S2000, Game King, or something else?

S2000, moved the whole machine from my house to my daughter's house

okay good....With the power turned off...

Obvious things to check are the 3 connectors going to the BA.

Pull each one off and plug back in one by one.

check for broken wire too.

Also check if the power supply box on the back wall came loose....squeeze power connector harness on the right side into the power supply

connector if the press screw on the left doesn't work.

Then turn the power on and see if the BA cycles?

Reseat the bill box firmly...make sure bill box's metal lever is fully up.

If you have a plastic MEI bill box, clean the two optics on the front top.

Might of gotten some dust on it during the move somehow?

However, I'm guessing you have the metal cash can because you didn't mention any lights other than perhaps the yellow bezel light?

Try to be specific as possible with as much details you can give us.

Not all machines have the same components.

Ok when you say check the 3 connectors that sounds like an S Plus type bill validator (JCM maybe) this is a regular S2000 WBA bill acceptor, not MEI and yes with a metal cash can and the rectangular yellow plastic bezel that lights up when it's ready to accept bills

Should be 3 white Molex connectors behind the cash box unit.

One has black and white.

The other Molex has white and black.

While the other Molex has 5 green wires.
Is yours different?
Report back when you've completed all the other things too.
Then we can take it from there.

You mean the power supply behind the reels, with the set screw on the left side of it?

Yes that too....they come loose sometimes but it might be okay considering the BA is cycling.

Your BA seems to have power.

I'd be more concerned with the 3 Molex connectors behind the cash box right now.

Yes it's definitely getting power but when it does its initial cycle it sounds like a bill is stuck & it just continues cycle over & over again

Sounds like it's not ABLE to complete it's boot up cycle.
Have you cleaned and re-seated the cash box?
The lever comes back FULLY in the up position?
Use some compressed air in the whole BA unit.
There are optics in the back that need to be clear.
I'm guessing something's blocking them when you moved the machine.

I opened the head & wiped the optics with a clean dry cloth, I can try some forced air too. Yes I have cleaned & reseated the cash box a few times

Not the head.

I'm talking about the cash box optics in the BA unit.

When you push a cash box in, the back top of the cash box pushes up on a couple of rollers.

In turn, the rollers are connected as two separate little flags that block the optics on the bottom of the BA.
 
(Let's call it the conveyor part of the WBA - The unit of the BA that has the rubber conveyor belts)

Those two optics that the two flags block can be a problem for the cycling of the cash box.

Best way to clean those two optics is to pull out the cash box 1st, then push down on the BA lever on the front of the conveyor unit and slide out the whole BA.

Flip the conveyor unit over, look towards the back and you'll see the two cashbox optics....clean those and re-install.

Ok, I know what area you are talking about now, clean those 2 optics with a Q-Tip?

Yeah...anything really...it's black plastic...optics are inside of it...just don't use anything with alcohol - alcohol melts stuff.

Check to see if the flags are okay and pop-up by pushing up on the rollers in the back of the cashbox receptacle area,

They (the flags) shouldn't be broken or bent.


Basically, what we're doing here is checking stuff that may of come loose during the move - MPU's, Molex plugs, power connections, etc.etc.
