TITO @ Home Version 2 on IGT 3902
« on: May 15, 2020, 04:35:27 PM »
I purchased a TITO @ Home version 2, and installed on my IGT 3902, but it doesn't seem to be working.  I'm fairly sure I plugged it in correctly.  Can someone please show me a picture of their machine, and where it's suppose to plug in?

There is a little switch on the board, have you flipped it?
Mine did not add credits, was shipping in the off position.
Flipped the switch and it works as expected...
Will it print and take tickets?

The switch, as I was told, was to give free credits by pushing the service button.  I'm not wanting to give free credits, so I have it off.  It is currently printing, but it won't accept the printed coupon.  That's why I was wondering if I have it plugged into the correct spot.

Exactly...but if it adds credits by pushing the service button you have it installed correct.

Did you set the Tito up in the game menu? If not I believe you have to Key chip and set up under "Comm Options"

I got called out of town to work.  I'll take a picture of the printed ticket and try the service button to see if it gives free credits when I get back Monday.  I used a key 40 to reset the machine and change the comm ports as suggested in the sticky thread.

Check the ticket number. If the ticket number matches the dollar value of the ticket including the number of cents it means the board sent the command to the machine to print the ticket. If this is the case the most likely trouble would be the bill validator. Sometimes dirty heads will cause rejects, and sometimes just bad BV heads won’t read tickets but will read bills as they are read differently.

Another way to check the board function is to go into the menu under comm channel analyzer. If you check channel 3 with the menu you should see codes of 80 81 repeating over and over again. This is the board polling the machine so that would confirm the board is connected correctly as well.

I finally got it working last night.   After starting from scratch and reprinting tickets,  it is now accepting cash or printed tickets.   I think my issue was with the tickets I had printed before I had my tito board.  I threw everything away and I'm good to go now.   Thanks for everyone's help.

I too think tickets printed on a cabinet without a TITO will not work...
I could and usually am wrong!
Only tickets printed with a properly set up TITO will be accepted...

I have found that occasionally when I do a game change the first few attempts to accept a ticket might fail.
I might need to turn the ticket all directions, maybe insert a bill and then the ticket will be accepted.

It is correct that tickets printed without Tito set up correctly will not be accepted. This is because the number doesn’t match a correct format.
