IGT Hexbreaker shows "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE"

Hi,
I am having a problem with my IGT Hexbreaker video slot. When I turn on the machine, the monitor goes through all of the color screens and then it sometimes comes up with the "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" message, and then will momentarily go dark and then the color screens go through their process again. Sometimes the game will come on and be playable. My question is....Where is the signal cable located on my machine? How do I correct this problem?

The monitor assembly has a beauplug on the back, it is unlikely to be your issue though.  My best guess is that you are having a power supply issue and the mpu is rebooting, thus causing the signal cable error.

At the moment, the machine seems to be working normally.
I did the key 22 reset (very confusing), and now the game is working as it should except......now I do not have the attract mode. Can anyone explain the procedure to activate it? Do I have to reboot, and go through the entire process of selecting everything again
(for the 10th time)?

Attract mode only happens if there are no credits. I don't believe you can enable/disable it, but I'm not 100% sure.  You definitely would not need a key chip to change that.

I had an attract mode previously, but it is not working now, even without credits.

Then I would go through the setup menu looking for the attract mode time or whether or not you can enable/disable it.
