Just picked up a Bally S5500 7's machine. Everything seems to work after some cleaning and adjustment of coin comparator. Only issue is that the game chips look to have been replaced at some point and the SMI #'s don't jive with the reels/glass so the payouts are all off and the machine only takes 2 coins max when glass shows its a 3 line machine. I did a Safe RAM clear and it was successful but with the wrong game chips it doesn't play right. After researching the forums, I think I just need the correct SMI # game chips to match the reels/glass. From the stickers on the machine, looks like I need SMI # 7003 but chips are for 6627.
The tapes on the reels match the stickers on the bases so I am all good there. One reel looks to have been replaced but the tape # fits with the other 2 reels, SMI is different but I think that's ok? When you do a Safe RAM clear does it set the reels to the game chips?
Pictures of all below. Looking to verify I can get the 7003 SMI game chips and all will work/payout in accordance with the front glass. Also, if anyone can point me in the right direction of who can provide those game chips it would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help.
