Bally Alpha clear/setup (im new)
« on: January 04, 2021, 11:05:56 AM »
i bought a used quick hits machine it was working perfect til 1 day the fuse popped. i replaced the fuse and got a clear card. i cleared the machine and ive gone thru setup videos a dozen times.
the printer now has the fault light on and the reels are all wacky. the 4th reel is lit up and spinning the other 4 are shaking but you can bump them and they will all start spinning.
mechanical reals device errors on all 5 reels message and printer device and config error still on the screen.
if someone could maybe facetime me and walk me thru what im doing wrong that would be great.
im losing my mind watching videos on how to do all this.
thanks

A faulty fuse is no reason to clear the machine.  What happened after you replaced the fuse?  Whatever killed the fuse, must have killed other things since your machine is acting all wonky.

I’m not positive what the error message was after I replaced the fuse but a call attendant of course and the 4th reel always spinning and lit up alone.

If clearing does not solve your issue, you need to start eliminating points of failure.  If you successfully cleared the machine, you may have an issue with your reel controller (the little tray box that is above the reel in the middle, usually has a barrel lock key on it).  I would pull it out and inspect it for something burned or damaged.  Whenever you pull things in and out of these machines, it needs to be with power OFF.  We cannot stress this enough, people think they can just hot plug things and not cause any damage, IT DOES, so never plug or unplug things with power on (other than maybe usb connections).
