Triple Lucky 7's Arm issue
« on: March 10, 2024, 11:56:31 AM »
Hi everyone, got a stuck arm and not sure how to fix/resolve it.  I've read other posts but couldn't figure out what exactly to do and where.  So I took the cash box all off and took pics so someone can say "insert this" or do that... I fiddled with different parts of the mechanism but nothing released the arm.  The springs are still in tact.  See the pics for more info.  Thanks so much as always!  Also, it looks like some plastic goo in the bottom the cabinet.

The bumper is melted...see the orange goo?
You have to get it all out if you want the mechanism to work correctly.

the two release levers are probably stuck to the orange goop, put a flat blade screwdriver in there and separate the levers that are attached to the springs.

that will get the unit working for a couple times, you have to get it cleaned out , but then your mech will cause problems, that orange goop is a shock absorber  so to say, when the handle flies back to the upright position without that rubber in place it tends to travel back down and lock in place.
some people fashion a replacement rubber, that's the only true way to correct the problem, or replace the handle mech with one that has a non melted rubber. ( hard to find)

Hope this helps.

It looks like one of the screw/rods (it loks like a screw sticking out) that a spring rests on, is missing... which I'm sure is affecting things.  I worked it over last night with very limited success.  I could get it to "click down" but never pop back up.   In fact, it was "locked down" no matter what.  I cleaned off all of the goo and that didn't make a difference, I lubricated the crap out of it, still not working.  I'm buying the mech from a guy on here, which I hope will resolve this issue.
