Jennings slot machine "collector envelope" - this is weird.

I recently bought a late 20's era Jennings Mints of Quality slot machine. Naturally, I've been looking up Jennings stuff. I found and bought this on eBay a few days ago. I've never even heard of these reproduction  collector envelopes but I bought it since it looked like my machine. When I looked closer, I realize that the machine used for the photo on the envelope was MY machine! The wear on the lower wood panel was identical...it's my machine. There's no manufacture or name on the envelope and the eBay seller didn't know anything about the envelopes as they bought them in bulk at an auction. I'd think the picture couldn't be that old but I don't know. Anyone know who makes these?
The lower picture is my machine - it's the professional shot of it from the antique store I bought it from.

Yes that was the reason for my post. Maybe I didn't make it clear? It's my machine, in the photo, on the envelope.  :propeller:

That is your machine. Same scratches on black painted area.
I would question the authenticity of the reproduction envelope since that exact picture is easily googled and is nice and large. Just my 2-cents.

So, you had been watching this machine for some time before purchasing, roght? Apparently the seller decided to make a few extra bucks by reproducing these envelopes? That's my take on it anyway...

I don't think the machine seller has anything to do with the envelope. Look up the envelope seller on eBay and look at their 800+ other envelopes. Everything you can imagine from football, cars, to tv shows like Bewitched. The Bewitched envelope picture is actually the first edition comic book cover.
Just have a feeling this person found an at home business nitch.

Still cool it's the exact machine.

Awe, I see....the seller was "that guy".... Well, don't be freaked out shorttrackskater. Thousands have done it. Keep the envelope as a souvenir. It may actually add to the value of your machine someday!!!

The seller is in Maryland and ... I wasn't even thinking/realizing that they just used THAT picture from the Google search. I bought it from Antiques of Pasadena and their store listing for that machine is still up! So yes I'd guess that picture has been on the internet for awhile, and somebody just "borrowed" it for this nice profit making idea... of which they made a few dollars off me!
Now I'm wondering... should I ever refinish the wood or leave it alone?  :Scratch-Head: I didn't want to touch the sides since the Jennings emblem is still in nice shape but I actually did want to clean up the front.

too me the pic never matched blow up pic and look at envelope  same machine  no same type yes  imo  area to right bottom not same wear  one on lope has much more wear

Look at the center orange colored glass. It's identically chipped. And, if you look above the payout cup, the worn part of the varnish is identical.
The angle and shading are all the same. I feel like a DOOFUS for even starting this thread now, although it IS funny they used that picture.
What a creative idea though, making collector envelope$ !
Hmmm... I wonder what pictures I could "borrow" and make something out of???
