Hi two more tags from European machines both 873's anyone has info on them?

5LP = 5 line pay.


looks like the models are 873 and 873-J.  I don't have info on a base 873. 


the 873-J was made for australia or a customer called "Australian"  It uses the same reel tapes, index discs, reel glass, bottom glass and contact plate wiring as the 873-A, but the top glass and payout counter is different. 


J has the w-932-261 payout counter diagram, while the A has w-923-203.  I don't know the difference since I don't have the 261 diagram.

The 873-J and 873-A as you say are quit nice 873 versions as the total payout is 85%, the highest of the 873s I know and 33% of of coins payed out goes by bar-bar-bar. The 5th bar-bar-bar pays out and is limited to 200 coins. Also the quality of the wiring is bad compared to the 5LP873 and the slots from Chicago.


Do you have any schematics of the 873-A?


the 5LP873 has a total payout of only 71%, with also a 200 limit on the 5th bar-bar-bar, very boring compared to the J model!

my main listing says the schematic is w-1046-1755, but the schem I have is w-1046-977.


the odd thing is they made over 100 models of the 873 before the schems got up to the 1755 number range, so I'd guess they reissued the schem and assigned it a new number.  Maybe the 1755 has molex plugs.  The 977 schem has jones plugs.


unfortunately, I don't have it to see what the difference is between it and the 977.


the highest pay 873 I have info for is a version of the 873-C with reel tapes m-222-[67, 68, 59] and index discs p-684-58, 59, 60].  It paid 89.78%.


I only have par sheets for the 873-C and -Y, 3 versions of each.  That leaves hundreds of 873 models which could have higher pay.  The main thing I don't have is pay table info.  Even with a schem there's no way to know the jackpot amounts on games that hand pay some wins.

My highest payout machine is a Harrahs 809 with 91%! payout on one to 5 coins (the standard first reel of 809 they canged the last bar1 for a bell).

the glass that lists shows the payout amounts for various symbol combination can be different on various versions of the 873 machines.  Even games that have identical reel strips and slotted index discs may use a different payout counter disc to change the payout amounts and therefore the overall game percentage.


while the schematic shows most of the payouts, any jackpot pays that lock up the game aren't detailed.  All you know from the schem is the game locked up and the location paid the win by hand.
