Gorilla Chief.. Missing Sounds?

Hey guys,


I just received Gorilla Chief for my BB1 and when I get 4 bonus symbols, the anticipation sound for getting more bonus symbols does not play. Can someone verify if this is the way the game was programmed or do I have an an outdated version...or was there an updated version to fix that?

Do all the other sounds work correctly?  Are all 5 speakers working?  Did you try the sound test?

The system itself is fine. All speakers work. I think its a software issue. Just need to compare with someone who has the game.

What is the latest version of this game. My CF card says the game is V1000. Most of my other games are 1030, 1030C ect. I assume those are updates?


I am thinking I have an early version or a beta version of the game. I don't think its really a beta version, just a first run of the game that has some technical glitches.


Watching videos of the game on youtube my copy is only missing the "wobble wobble" bonus anticipation sound and the glitter that revolves around the reels.

Mine is 1020 for what it's  worth and it has the sounds you are missing.

Actually my card is so scratch its hard to read, but I think it says DD82 - 000? - 1020D0... Thought it said 1000. Date on card 12/09/2010


Can you check your card and see if its the same?




I am also missing some of the animation of the smaller wins of the coins behind the credit meter.


Could this be an OS card issue too?




Here is a list of differences I am noticing:


1) No bonus anticipation sounds. Wobble Wobble
2) The jungle graphic between base to bonus slides from left to right. In the casino, it has an iris transition in and out.
3) Large win animation behind the credit meter of the coins missing.

You can see off the first spin it has graphics around the 3rd reel and makes the sound.

 Notice that the youtube version is on a widescreen.   The difference is that the youtube version is being played on a BB2, whereas yours is on a BB1.

I understand that but why omit those sounds? Just received Golden Hammer that runs on the same OS and has the same issues. Is it an OS thing or just a BB1 issue?

It is probably a memory issue, since the whole game gets pre-loaded into memory so there is no lag, I'm thinking WMS removed some "features" in order for it to play on a BB1.
