Newbie here...need help identifying machine
« on: September 06, 2023, 10:54:41 AM »
Hello all!
I have 4 Pachislo machines I've refurbished and just got my first real slot machine. It's a Bally "Show Me the Money". That's about all I know about it. I got a real cheap and it's not a beautiful looking machine but I would still like to get it up and running. Was told by the seller that it has a door open code. I have yet to plug it in because the power cord is frayed and I need to replace or repair it. First question, is there a secret to removing hopper assembly? I can't easily get the power supply without removing it. Also, it cam with no barrel keys for the door or the lock on the side of the machine. Door opens and closes without needing a key, but not sure what the switch the side is for. I will update after I power up what the actual code is. Just need some guidance on where to start looking for manuals, etc.  Thanks!

Looks like a Mid 80's Bally E1000 series derivative, probably not US market as it appears to be a skill stop machine because of the 3 buttons under the reels.

These skill stop slots were widely used on the new jersey shore area in redemption arcades. it is basically an e 1000 that was converted for arcade use. lots a luck, in my experience these can be problematic. The wizard.

Thanks! It had about 80 tokens from the Ocean Center Arcade in Wildwood, NJ inside of it. Fingers crossed it fires up!

Hard to see but it doesn't look like there's a coin (token) in your coin comparitor.

Shove a quarter in there and pray that your hopper disc is about the same size as a quarter. easy enough conversion if you ask me.
