Erratic reels on my Bally Hee Haw

I have been having intermitent problems with my Hee Haw. durring start up reels are spinning erratic. I have tried changing the 5/12v power supply and tht works temporaily. I just put out a new one in and it was working fine but reels will start spinnig after its on for a while. If i reboot the machine it works ok for awhile. This has been going on for a few weeks. Im gettig fustrated. Any one else haviving this problem and no what the problem is, Your help would be appreciated.

Is it just a particular reel, or all of them?  If it is just one reel, swap reel postions (you probably have to do a clear) and see if the problem follows it.  If it is all the reels, I would look at the reel control board.  They are plentiful and easy to find.  You should have a spare anyway.

Check your belly door switch.  Open door will cause reels to spin, hmmm, but not during start up.
