Green Stamps machine constantly plays 30 credits?

My machine has started playing 30 credits constantly without me hitting the button but if I tape that button down I can then play normally. Is there a way to disable that one particular button so I don't have to keep it taped down?

Have you tried to disconnect the button from under the deck?  Just disconnect the connections to the micro switch.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried, still did the same thing which I thought was really unusual

You have a wiring issue then, something is pulsing the ciruit to open/close rapidly, by holding down the button, it is always closed.  There's probably some sort of interference or something going on. If you unplug the button harness at the door, does it still do that "auto spin?" The alphas have a harness that ends in a female receptor to the right side of the door, then the button harness has matching plug, there are two plugs one for the button lights, the other one is for the switches.  Disconnect the switch harness and see if it still does the same thing.

I which 2 wires that attach to the button controls the switch? Can I just twist those 2 together to make it think the button is is pressed?

The switch assembly has 3 blades on it, the light assembly only has 2 blades, so whichever part of the connector has the 3 blade inserts, those are the switch pins

I got it, twisted the switch wires together for now so I can play the machine, thanks

New issue, now the cash out button is activating after each spin which makes me have to touch the top touchscreen to select "keep playing" what would cause this issue to move to a different button switch?

Do what I asked you to do initially to see if your problem is a harness issue or a backplane issue.  Do you have a spare backplane to try? Also try to disconnect the player panel lights harness first to see if the issue persists.  If you push no buttons at all, does the cash out keep happening, or only after you press a play button?

I don't have a spare backplate board to try. I did disconnect the harness for the botton switches & it stopped it from auto playing the 30 cent bet

Then looks like the issue is with the harness in the button panel.  Source a new harness or button panel, easy to replace and they are not that expensive.  Or if you have boredom set in because we are all caved in like the Croods (kids movie, google it), you could actually inspect the wiring on the player panel for breaks or burns that may be causing the issue and fix it.
