Call attendant keeps flashing on and off......And All the Digital numbers flash all 8 ....I'm not to familiar with this machine...Need some help If anyone is willing....most Appreciated...thanks

Make sure all the doors are closed all the way, if that don't help, open the door and press the test button and see if it gives you an error.

You can also look under diagnostics for the event logs.  It will tell you the error.  I recently had an issue with an alpha 2 machine that would flash call attendant whenever it took a bill in and would make the machine act all weird.  Looking at the log it was pointing to the battery on the backplane (I think it is called door monitor battery).  It was at 2.7 volts, just high enough to almost work, but low enough to make trigger the tilt whenever the battery would just undervolt.  Replacing the backplane battery fixed the issue.

thanks for the help...I ran A diagnostics check...and got these errors......Lamp Projector Disconnected....Mech Reels not configured......7-segment LED disconnected.....Topbox Disconnected.......Everything was working fine then this happened

Sounds like the usb bus is having issues.  Check the usb cables to make sure they are all connected, from the mpu to the reel backplane, to the lcu board, and the segment display.

With the power off try unplugging and plugging in all cables.
Could be a bad connection in one of those connection.

Ok tried doing all of that still no change

You may have a bad USB cable.  It is a good idea to test the usb cables with a pc and some other usb device just to make sure they work.

Are there 2 places to plug in your USB cable on the front of your CPU box?
Try moving your USB cable to the empty/other port.

My buddy had a perfectly working Alpha. All he did was move it off the floor on to a stand and he got the same error messages that you describe. It could be he has a bad cable? It could be the reel board is failing? He got it working again by moving the USB cable to the other port and so far it has been working just fine! It is a mystery to me...

That's exactly what happened to me.....we moved it across the floor and it started doing this....i'll try this and see keep you posted thanks for all the help

My batteries were a little low...they were 2.6 and 2.7 I changed those one at a time..... and now it's all out of whack...it goes through all the sequences.......boots up and at the end says fatal error....i'm thinking about clearing the machine and starting over....can someone tell me what clear chip I need ......thanks for all the help

The clear depends on the bios version you have on your mpu.  The bios version should be on a label on top of the bios chip, which is the only 32pin socketed eprom on the mpu.
