IGT Fortune II / Re: Fortune Two Joker Poker Issues

Have you been adjusting the sensitivity control on the front box of the comparator?
Considering the way the circuit is configured yo0u could prop the rake open with some folded paper and use it that way.
In the F2 system the coin ion optic (or switch) do not communicate with the coin comparator.
The comparator is only used to set the size of the coin.

Trying to get Ironman to work with a GamefieldxD screen but it just doesn't want to play nice.   Newer OS's like H19.01 work perfectly on the machine.  But ironman needs OS H18.02.

Bios NBOT-00003-2010 is listed for the specific game title:   ME-WMS000055 WMS Iron Man S85E-000-1020
If I could flash my bios at least close to that rev, thinking it "might" address the issues.

If you have any older versions of NXT3.2 bios please PM

Thanks!

WMS Williams Video / Re: BB3 Games
« Last post by sccarlso on Today at 10:52:27 AM »
Got the GameField touchscreen in, the hardware works great!  A 32" vertical NEC display and the GF touchscreen.  No crash when tapping the GF touchscreen!

What's driving me nuts is that games other than Ironman work perfectly.  The dang OS 18.02 Ironman needs is just junk compared to H19.01.  Won't calibrate the touchscreen properly so I still can't get past initial setup. Like it's trying to calibrate a horizontal screen when it's displayed vertical. So once calibrated in the H18.02 OS, it has no touchscreen test function or anything.  So basically touch doesn't work after you calibrate in OS 18.02!

The only way I got limited touch function is if I cleared and loaded just the OS H19.01, calibrates perfectly and Wonka loads and runs perfectly.  Even took a pic of diagnostics > machine info to see that it's showing it is a GamefieldxD cabinet being detected.

Apparenly it remembers the calibration from the 19.01 OS even after clearing and loading OS 18.02.  But touch is still so off I can't complete initial setup.  And if I try to calibrate in the 18.02 OS, then the touchscreen doesn't even respond afterwards.  I can recalibrate over and over and the touchscreen always responds to calibration touches.  But there isn't even an option to exit calibration!  Or even a touchscreen test button as in OS 19.01.  After touching the two hash marks in calibration it just goes back to the "turn key to calibrate touchscreen" over and over, like it isn't saving the calibration.  I can only exit "sometimes" by closing the door switch to exit, but then if I go back into setup, no touchscreen response anymore at all. Can't believe OS 18.02 is that bad.  Has to be something else going on here, but only occurs with ONE game title?

Running out of ideas for why this one game is being so touchy.  Cabinet is seen as a GameFieldxD, video is just fine.  So just looking at more obscure potential issues.

Found this reference, so I'm wondering if it could be due to the much newer bios?

ME-WMS000055 WMS Iron Man S85E-000-1020 85E1020_OS3007_139111_2010.bin NSOS-000-3007 NBOT-00003-2010 SJUR-000139-111 GFxD

The Bios listed is NBOT-00003-2010 and NSOS-000-3007 (OS 18.03)

My current bios is NBOT-0003-2021v0.00.89

11 years between bios revs is a long time.  But wondering if that could be a cause.

If anyone had the .bin file for Bios NBOT-00003-2010 (or even close) I'd read and save mine, and flash it just to see if it makes a difference.  Or even some kind of PSR (or whatever WMS calls them) with game specific information like hardware required and such that IGT has for its game titles.    Do these even exist for WMS game titles???   If so, does anyone have a PSR type doc for this game ID for Ironman?

Thanks!

IGT Fortune II / Fortune Two Joker Poker Issues
« Last post by cptdunsal on Today at 10:47:06 AM »
My machine was working fine. Now it doesn't accept coins. This problem is in the Coin Compareitor. If I pull the teeth back the coin will drop through and register. Ive checked as much as I can but can't find the problem. It also stopped making the "clicking Noise" I would hear when playing coins.I pulled the hopper, pulled and reset the boards,Reset the game. I used to be a Slot Attendant back in the 80-90 but Not a Technician. I feel there is some connection with what I did and the current problem or just something simple i Might be missing. Maybe I jarred something. I don't know where to look for the coin mech control. Any help would be great. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Just in case anyone else has this issue.  Identified by obscure schematics of the LED driver board.  lol

Pins 1 and 4 -  Ground
Pins 3 and 6 -  +24v

That gets it running!

Other Bill Validators / UBA10-SS Issue
« Last post by idylewild1 on Today at 09:18:32 AM »
Have two WMS BB2 WITH UBA11 eprom bill validators. One quit working and I have replaced the BV with four different UBA10-SS and get the same problem. The UBA11's have an EPROM with 2.83.52 and the UBA10's have been flashed with 1.71.16. With all thwe UBA10's the BV cycles and then the red led flashes four times. I am having a hard time thinking all four UBA10's are defective the same way. This happens in both BB2's and the one Ubs11 works in both BB2's. I am pulling my hair out on this one. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is it working now?

I encountered the door switch that took a sh*t. I'm waiting for it in the mail. I will continue with the V5500 when it arrives, however I need to be at Clear Space Force Station to open a GSA container (civilians call it a safe) for the next few days.

You may need a newer version of the blackfin firmware for the edgelit buttons.
