need help adjusting CRT monitor

I can't seem to figure out how to adjust this monitor to remove blank area.  I've attached a picture of the screen.  Is this adjustable???

There should be vertical size and horizontal width controls on the back of the chassis. But you may have to make up a jumper cable to access them. One of my slots, I can just reach in and adjust it, but there's a risk of getting a nice shock.  :lightningbolt: :lightningbolt:

Video size doesn't appear to be your issue. It appears you're missing part of the display video because it can be seen on each side of and between the bars. This may be a problem coming from the MPU, but I'm guessing. Never saw anything like this years ago when I was repairing TV's

I was reading through old topics and found this one, has a picture of a monitor that looks something like mine.

It saids fix was a bad capacitor.  I was just looking to see if anyone had other thoughts for fix before replacing any.

Good point and reference. Seems like recapping the whole board is pretty common for those based on past posts
