WMS BB2 Top Monitor has moisture under the glass

Hi Everyone. This is my first post. The moisture beneath the glass on my BB2 top monitor looks like crap. I tried to remove the class to clean underneath, but it's stuck down real good by the gasket adhesive. Can the glass be removed without harming the monitor? And if so, how?


Plan B is to buy a replacement monitor, but this seems like something that can be fixed. The monitor works.


Monitor is LCD22-A04. Non-touch screen I believe.

It's not moisture, it's tar from smoking.  You can use a braided fishing line to remove the double sided sticky tape.

If you try to remove the touch screen be VERY careful not to damage the fine wire ribbon cable or you will be buying another touchscreen. They are very delicate.

Heat, floss, razors etc.
We use gaffers tape to reattach the touchscreen after removal, just neatly applied to stick to the sides of the monitor.

Using gaffer's tape, do you not put any type of material between the metal frame and the glass from the touchscreen?  Just position and tape around frame?
