Help clearing IGT S+ 61 error

You likely need to re-enable your bill validator with the use of a SET chip.  Instructions on how to use a SET chip can be found here: http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/dbv.htm

That is how the machines were designed.  You can install a different SP chip in your machine to enable "Montana Credits" which will permit you to add additional coins beyond the max bet of the game, and those additional coins go to the credit meter, however that is not a typical setup.
