How to get in top panel

Hello,


Just picked up a IGT Double Double Bonus poker game yesterday.  Think i have most of it figured out.  However I can't seem to figure out how to get into the top panel to the left of the Bill changer.  Just wonder for future info in case i need to change the light bulb.  What I am missing?

There is a pin you pull down to release.  Open the slant door and feel for it, in center just under top glass.

Think i found pin.  Wouldn't budge when i pulled down.

Push in or pull out on the bottom of the panel while pulling the pin down.  It probably hasn't been opened in a really long time. The power supply for the bill validator is in there too.

Got it. Ran into another problem though.  I switched the machine to use tokens (same ones i use in my slot machine).  IT was running fine, till i went to pay out, i kicked out a few quarters and then got a error message.  Pulled the hopper and the tokens got about halfway up the discharge chute and jammed.  I got them out by pushing them back down to the hoppers.  Not sure what is up with the chute.  Maybe bent?

Tokens are slightly bigger in diameter and tend to get hung up in the elevator.  Best to stick with quarters.  There are special elevators made for tokens if you can find one.

That jam is happening in the hopper elevator. It is very specific to the type of coin you use.


My understanding is that there is enough of a difference between the .944 (Japanese Pachilo token) and a quarter .955
that they jam in the elevator. I don't have any slant tops myself but I have seen people purchasing tokens the exact size of a quarter although they tend to be a bit more pricier, I have also heard you can get elevator parts for the .944 but I am not sure from whom. I took a quick look at SOZOHAPP and they didn't appear to have any coin handling which is a bit strange to me as I know them to be the ones that carry all sorts of legacy parts.


I am sure somone else will jump in here and comment further.


You might try running your machine with real quarters and ensure your payouts are all working correctly.

Agreed with the others -- I've heard nothing but problems with people trying to use tokens in quarter escalator hoppers.  You'll need to stick to quarters for this, unless you can find the correct escalator for the size tokens you are using.
