Tomb:

I like to have ALL of the lights in my games working also.  That one seems like a simple one, sort of.  I did not know, and it does not make any sense to me why the power of these lights world need to pass through a relay.  Maybe some of the experts here can expound on that one.  Perhaps that relay finger is bent and needs a little nudge.  The molex plugs in the door don't sound like your specific problem but they have been know to give connectivity issues.   IF you are faced with a big project I would just get the 6 volts from another "always on" source in the door.  Depending on what machine you have the pay out schedule on the right side of the reel glass is a good place to start.

Wait, what?  There's light for the coin tray??  Never noticed that myself.  Now I'll have to investigate...  :Scratch-Head:

what are the wire colors on the lamp sockets and the wire colors on the relay coil?  A picture of the relay if there are multiple switches on it would help.

on my 929, the two coin tray lights are hooked to blue and orange/blue wires ... general illumination.  They only go out when the handle is in a pulled state (handle switch opens and a bunch of lights turn off)

All the machines I’ve had past and present had accommodations for coin tray lights.

Never had one that was wired to a relay/switch.
They just come on with the rest of the lights when the machine is powered up.
Part of a restoration would be to clean the plastic lenses and bulbs.
An outrages amount of tar and nicotine on the lens indicates a few of things.
Previous onwer(s) smoked, wasn’t professionally restored, or its original from a casino.

Machines covers with tar and nicotine take a little longer to clean. But it’s a good indication that the machine is in its original state and will clean up really well in my opinion based on past experience.

One cautionary note, be real careful when cleaning the interior side of display glass.
Its best to test a small area. Sometimes just plain soap and water will remove graphics.
