S2000 most buttons only light in key chip config

I got my new machine up and running after a battery swap and a key chip config.


During the key chip configuration,  all buttons lit up, so no bulb issues.


During game play, buttons working properly, but button lights seem problematic-


The cash out button stays lit and works properly.


The bet one credit & max bet do not light up, but after pressing bet one credit, the spin reels button does light up.  Otherwise all lights stay off.


Small issue, but I’d like to figure it out.

First of all, only 4 buttons are used for key chip config so they all should not have been lit. During game play the service or change button only lights when the button switch is engaged. The cash out button should be lit or flashing anytime there are credits on the machine. The bet one button should be lit anytime there are credits but not used during key chip config. Check the bulb & wiring. The spin button only lights up after one or more credit(s) are bet unless spin repeat is enabled (3.7.1). Play Max should be lit anytime there are enough credits to make a max bet unless spin repeat is enabled. Again check your bulbs and wiring. If using LEDs, some are polarized so be sure they are not plugged in backwards. The + side goes in the socket on the side with the red wires.

I swapped some bulbs around to test & it was just dead bulbs.


I must not have looked carefully in key configuration to see what was lit.

RB I am having a similar problem on my S2000. The spin button is on sometimes when I use bet one button but most of the time it is off even when I bet one or more. Also my Max bet button goes on and off, I  know I have enough credits to bet. What is weird is if I press the spin button most of the time the max bet light will come on. Anyone have any suggestions.
