S2000 main door close issue

Hi all, been awhile and hope all is well with everyone, especially those facing a hurricane tonight, keep your heads down and chins above the waterline.
The reason I'm posting is that I have a machine that wouldn't show door closed after a battery change reset so I bypassed door optics, no luck. Belly door switch already bypassed. Any ideas? I know I've seen a topic on this before, but it's been years and I can't find it. Any help is, as always, much appreciated

Cowboy, I have a machine that will give this error out of the blue. I too did the bypass. I usually go into settings for the I/O test for door and cabinet. It gives me the 0 and the 1. Then when I close the door it works again

Thanks guys for both replies, the sound of the crickets was getting irritating, lol
I'll give that a try. Just remember there being something that caused this and it's kinda rare

It could also be an issue with your MPU.


You didn't specify which board you're using, or if you've previously removed the old green Varta. But since you're a member here and have posted in the past, I'm assuming that you were aware of the Varta situation and the damage they can cause.


I've had a few boards that looked fine and tested fine until they heated up a bit. Then I would get the random Door Open M followed by a reel tilt. Those are the worst kind of problems, because everything works for a few hours and then craps out.


Good luck with your issue, hopefully it will be an easy fix. But it doesn't make much sense that this happened right after a battery change unless you nicked something that you shouldn't have.


Don't be afraid to include lots of details or pictures.

Thanks Curtis and sorry, meant to put in that it's a 1370 board with varta removed. It's worked fine for 5 years through 2 battery changes and has the problem from powerup

Good point, hadn't checked that. The machine is at a friends house 3 blocks away, I will take a look. Are door alarms part of the senet system?
