S2000 Handle solenoid has no power

The handle doesn't release after i've placed a bet.  I checked the solenoid and it appears defective.  Measured resistance with DMM and there is none (open).  Then checked voltage at the solenoid and there is none (presumably energizing the coil after placing a bet).  Does this mean a defective MPU or what?  Suggestions?

The coil is powered by a very short pulse. Not sure if I can see it with a DMM.

During a game when the reels stop, do you hear the sound of the coil ? Like a TAC...TAC...TAC ?

In menu 4.2.2 you can test the coil.

On an s2000 the handle solenoid is controlled by the cabinet io card not the mpu. If a board is bad it’s probably the cabinet io card. Most likely the solenoid is bad tho.

Ok. I’ve ordered a solenoid. I also have a broken spring. I see this as a somewhat common failure too. I wonder where I could find one of these.

Replaced the solenoid and spring and all working again.  Thank you all.
