XCITE CRT Compatible with MK5 S2?

Hi everyone


I have a MK5 S2 with a crt that’s seen better days. I have a XCITE spare flatscreen CRT with touch screen interface panel. I would like to know whether these are interoperable? The plug is the same but want to check before I go an bugger something up.

AFAIK MK6 CRTs are a few inches smaller than MK5 CRTs so if you wanted to fit one (assuming a home machine) you'd probably have to make up a bezel or something like an old arcade game, unless an Xcite bezel magically fits. Most MK5s/MVPs moved to LCDs when their CRTs failed.
