Printer arrow light
« on: April 10, 2021, 03:46:16 PM »
I have a FutureLogic PSA-66-ST printer in a mk6.  There is an arrow on the faceplate that is back-lit green.  The light is very dim, especially when compared to other machines.  The circuit board (picture below) is getting just under 24 volts.  Any ideas why the light is at such a low intensity?

DS1 - DS10 are the green LEDs and probably need to be replaced. They are installed in series and will need to be installed correct as they are polarized- Anode and Cathode. Probably easier to get a replacement pcb. If you want them changed out, I can do them cheap, shipping is the cost. Place a classified and see what's available. You need to be contributing member I'm pretty sure.

Tony. PM if you need.

You can fix almost any electronic device by replacing the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Thanks for the reply.   I was concerned that there may have been something more serious wrong with the printer.  I appreciate the offer to change out the led's.  As long as there is nothing harmful about to happen, I'm content to leave them the way they are.  I do appreciate the offer.
