Aristocrat mk2.5 monitor conversion
« on: April 14, 2021, 05:22:39 AM »
I have an older Aristocrat slot machine (I believe mk2.5?) that I would like to replace the monitor (CRT?) with a newer, more efficient type, but I am unsure of what type I actually have and what I need to convert it. The connection on the board that it plugs into has six pins in a straight line.

Could you please help me figure this out?

Thank you!

Changed font size 5 to readable 12. Why would you want font so small that on one could read it?

If you do indeed have a MK2.5 (13" monitor), we have brand new, old stock monitor tubes for them.  PM for details.

I hope these will help. I need to know what, if any, video conversion cards are available to replace the existing big, heavy and hot monitor (CRT?) with a nice, light, slim, cool energy efficient LCD or ?.
Else, I need to know what each pin in the plug is (power, ground, red, green or whatever) so I can DIY my own video conversion.

Thank you SO MUCH in advance!

For the record, there are two MK2.5 cabinets, one has a tiny 13" monitor offset to the left (with the right section having a bill acceptor), and the other type having a full-size monitor like the later machines. Yours looks like the latter type, not sure if an LCD for a MK4/MK5 (540) would fit the cabinet though...

Thank you.
What I have for a monitor is currently a CRT, correct?

Can you tell me what I need to convert to a different type of monitor?
If someone can at least tell me what each of the six pins are for, I could simply convert the signal, correct?

Not to complain, but the only two replies I've received are either trying to correct me on what I have (wrongly) and sell me monitors that I don't want.

Please tell me what I need to convert from whatever I have to anything from the last decade?
