« on: April 24, 2021, 09:22:44 AM »
Good afternoon all,

I was just wondering what were some of your thoughts and opinions on some really awesome mk6 themes other than the standards such as various cashman themes, wickid winnings, where's the gold, mine mine mine etc. Maybe themes you don't really see alot of. Thanks.

There is a MK6 dual screen version of Outback Jack.Same for Mr. Woo

You need to add a extra video board to a MK6 board and have a dual screen MK6 machine to run it.

If you like Cashman type games, there's Cashman Tonight, as well as the Lil' Lucy and Money Honey games (in Australia the themes are called Lucky Devil and Lady Luck respectively). The Jeff Foxworthy games are also rebadged Cashman games. Bank Buster is also fun but it's also a Hyperlink game, so it's pretty useless if you can't have the jackpots.

Asian Princess, Dream Catcher, Fire Dancer and The Game With No Name have a 5x5 Super Reel Power layout (50 credit reel bet, 3125 ways) but they never really took off unlike the 50/100 line games.

Delta Belle (or Delta Queen, under the Australian name) has 7-of-a-kind wins, where the wild in reel 3 randomly counts as 1, 2 or 3 symbols. I think Sun King had a similar gimmick as well but I haven't seen that game in well over a decade.

Orchid Mist/Chicken Pickin' had the Hold & Spin feature way before Lightning Link was a thing.

For an early game, Show Me The Money/Money Tree/Kenyan Gold used to be popular, they have the 5 Dragons/Choy Sun Doa style "choose your feature" thing so you can (for example) pick less games with better multipliers etc. but they're multi-line (20/25 lines) instead of Reel Power.

Spring Carnival/Roll Up Roll Up has random multipliers in the feature (x2/x3/x5/x10), but are basically like Queen of the Nile. Grizzly is another Queen of the Nile spinoff with different multipliers (you can get up to x50). Ladies Day is an updated clone of Spring Carnival. Lord Leopard also has a similar multiplier feature.

Line King is a 50 Lions spinoff (but with a fishing theme instead of an African desert) with either the regular 50 Lions feature (10 free games, 1 wild added each spin etc.), or you can pick another feature with 5 free games instead of 10, but the wins are x2.

White Water (aka Rapid Riches) has a feature where if you collect 4 symbols during the free games it retriggers. Moon Festival is a 50 line variation of the same thing.

Red Baron/Dragon Lord also have missions where you have to collect a certain amount of symbols (planes or dragons) to win credit prizes once the feature is over, which also have a "difficulty level" you can choose e.g. the easiest mission is only 10-20x bet if completed while a harder one (more items to collect) pays a lot more.

Corrida De Toros is similar as well but 25 lines instead of Reel Power, you pick either the matador or the bull and if your choice wins at the end of the feature you win the bonus credits. It also has a progressive jackpot like Zorro/Mr Woo/Outback Jack etc. (no idea if it needs 2 screens for the US version though, the Australian version only needs 1 screen but has 7-segment LEDs in the topbox, same with Zorro/Outback/Woo and older Hyperlink games).  Prophecy also has a similar thing where you pick one of two outcomes for a bonus win at the end if you picked the right one.

Wild Ways/Ruby Magic has a multiplier which increments in the feature every time a wild appears (up to x15). The game is sort of similar to Pompeii (e.g. 3 of the best thing is 500 credits, 3 scatters in a row for the feature, but in reels 2/3/4 instead of the first 3), except that the wilds are not x3/x5 in the feature and that all wins are multiplied, they don't actually need the wild to be multiplied. Beaver Bucks is similar to Pompeii but the scatters pay anywhere, and the wilds pay x2 (each) outside the feature or x4 (each) inside the feature.

Diamonds & Hearts is also a good one, it has the Sweethearts feature but also has a Power Pay feature where you can also play for the diamonds (but they still have to line up since they're not scatters). Diamonds Forever also has the same feature but without the heart spins. Black Mustang (aka Black Brumby) is also an interesting old game with the "heart" feature (but with horses instead of hearts) as well as free games.

Arabian Nights and Venice (aka Venetian Nights) give out 50 or 100(!) free games if you get 4 or 5 scatters (unfortunately the non-US versions of Arabian Nights only gives out 15/20/25 free games as it is technically a different game). Getting the first 2 scatters also gives you a respin with the scatters held for another chance to get the feature.

Treasure King (aka King Neptune) also has a bonus reel which affects each spin (e.g. it might pay x2 or give a certain symbol scatter properties, or a random credit prize). Kakadu Dreaming also had a similar thing with the leaf at the top of the screen, but I can't remember the details.

King Penguin has a snakes and ladders type game for its feature, although I'm not sure if it was released outside of Australia - technically it would probably be classed as a Cashman type game as you have to play the big button to be eligible for the feature. The game's probably long gone by now, apparently it had special topbox artwork glass with a bunch of LEDs corresponding to the snakes and ladders game so it would most likely be useless without the art glass as you wouldn't be able to see what the feature is doing.

Lastly, these are probably way too old to be seen in the wild these days, but there were two 6-reel games when the MK6 first came out, Big Hearted (another Sweethearts spinoff) and Enchantress (an Enchanted Forest spinoff). Both games were also on the MK5 system but I think only certain countries/jurisdictions had MK5 versions (for example, they were MK5s in Victoria Australia but MK6 in New South Wales, likewise with Money Tree). I'm not sure if these were released in the US however.

Edit: Updated some of the names to US titles (e.g. Black Brumby is called Black Mustang) and added a few more themes.

I really appreciate all that info and your time you took to type all of that. I'm going to look at these titles online and see if I can find any videos and additional information. I may leave you a message if I see anything interesting. Thanks!

Another weird MK6 game is Arishinko, which is basically a pachinko game (e.g. 3 reel slot with a ball and pin gimmick). Pyramid Power is a non-reel ball game but only seems to exist as NSW software (Player's Choice Original, a 2 screen multigame) and as a Cashman game in Western Australia's one and only casino (that version is most likely long gone now).

Sun Chief and Wild Hearts are classic style 3-reel 3-payline games, they were always $1 denomination when I saw them.

I realize there are hundreds of themes for this cabinet. Just fiding a few different good ones that I have never seen seems to be a rather tough task once I identified a few good ones I would like to try. :thank_you:

I've been trying to document the games for the past 15 or so years, I still haven't got close to seeing every game, either in person or in photos. Some games were not released on the USA platform either (likewise, a lot of games were not released outside the US either) so it's impossible to actually run every game unless you convert the machine or have one of each type.
